The 'Exquisite' Epsilon Sigma Alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho is considered to be the 'Steel Magnolias' of Louisiana after 86 years of existence.  We are the fifth oldest alumnae chapter in our history. For many years, we have had a steadfast sensational role in shaping youth in the New Orleans community. Our local partnerships include: New Orleans Healthy Start, Children's Defense Fund, National Pan-Hellenic Council, New Orleans Alumni, Habitat for Humanity, Covenant House, and Second Harvest Food Bank, just to name a few.

We pride ourselves in connecting with the under-served youth in our New Orleans communities through our national programs Operation Big BookBag, Wee Savers, Mwanamugimu Essay Contest,  and Youth Symposium. On a global scale the Epsilon Sigma chapter is active with national efforts with the Haiti Disaster Relief Fund and Program for Africa.

Epsilon Sigma serves as the Graduate Advisor over Xavier University - Delta Chapter, Dillard University - Omicron Chapter and Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) - Gamma Upsilon Chapter.
